On Friday, Sept. 13, the Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara (MHA) Nation hosted its second annual Fall Fest on Four Bears Peninsula. The event featured a farmer’s market, craft show, barbeque cookoff, and other fun activities. Chairman Mark N. Fox’s Office was instrumental in planning and coordinating the event.
Fall Fest 2019 kicked off with music by DJ Rocks. Chairman Fox’s staff guided the event, which included horseshoes, cornhole, and tug-o-war. The MHA Nation Fitness & Recreation Department hosted a walk/run on the Four Bears Peninsula. Bingo was held in the 4 Bears Casino conference rooms.
“The event gave MHA Nation members a chance to participate in fun activities,” said Chairman Fox. “We also congratulate our energy partners on their excellent barbeque – particularly Enerplus.”
Seven oil companies participated in the barbeque cookoff. Each participant provided free samples to public while in the running for the Peoples Choice Award. Enerplus won this year’s award for best barbeque, which included a traveling trophy. The trophy will be brought back to next year’s Fall Fest.
