Brigade Energy donates van to assist MHA youth and elder services

Brigade Energy recently donated a van to assist Mandan, Hidatsa, and Arikara (MHA) Nation youth and elder services. The donation took place on July 25 with Brigade Energy presenting the vehicle to MHA Nation Chairman Mark Fox.

Brigade Energy’s donation was facilitated by Enerplus Resources, an oil and natural gas company working with the MHA Nation.

“The van donation is part of our company’s goals for being part of the community,” said Ryan Mechaley, a representative from Brigade Energy. “We wanted the van to go to a worthwhile cause.”

The donated vehicle will be used to assist tribal youth and elder’s services on the Fort Berthold Reservation, for which there was an immediate need.

“It was a win-win for everyone,” said Mechaley.

Representatives from Enerplus and Brigade Energy attended the donation ceremony on July 25.

“We appreciate the strong relationships between energy companies and our tribal nation,” said Chairman Fox. “The van donation marked another instance in which energy companies made a positive contribution to our communities.”
